Sabi Sand has 39 places to stay across three gate sectors, from Arathusa in the north at R7,300 per person a night to Londolozi's Private Granite Suites in the west at R54,000. Converted at 1 USD = 17.6 ZAR, published per-person rates run roughly $415 to $3,068 a night; several villas and all three Ulusaba lodges publish no per-person rate, and Ulusaba is rates on request. This is a private reserve, not a national park, so you cannot self-drive around it, only to your own booked lodge, and every game drive runs through that lodge's guides and vehicles. On top of the room rate, every stay carries a conservation levy, either the reserve's own tiered Guest Conservation Contribution or, at a handful of lodges, a levy the operator collects itself, and that charge never appears in the headline room rate.
