Ebony Lodge sits on the Sand River in the west-central sector, one of three Singita lodges that together traverse about 18,200 hectares, the group's own published figure rather than the reserve's total. Rates for 2026 run from R49,255 per adult sharing in off-peak season to R60,470 in peak, all meals and premium drinks included, along with twice-daily drives and walking safaris. Separate from the room rate, Singita excludes a conservation contribution, a Tourism Levy and a Carbon Offset Levy, without stating an amount for any of the three on its own site.

The Family Suite (R129,160 to R151,175) and Ebony Villa (R371,180 to R434,270) are whole-unit rates, not per person. Singita's site could not confirm separate 2027 figures; treat the table above as 2026 only. Converted at 1 USD = 16.35 ZAR on 23 September 2026, the cheapest 2026 off-peak rate is about $3,013. Singita excludes a conservation contribution, a Tourism Levy and a Carbon Offset Levy from the rate but states no amount for any of them; based on the room rate this would likely sit in the reserve's top Tier 1 band (about R957 per person per night in 2026).
What the rate covers is not confirmed. We do not know yet whether meals, drinks and activities are included, so read this as the bed only.

Rates and fees come from each lodge's own website, read 16 September 2026, cross-checked against the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own published Guest Conservation Contribution and access fees at sabisand.co.za (the landowners' association, spelled without an 's') and against a reserve overview compiled the same day. Two booking-agent microsites, sabisands.com and sabisands.co.za (both spelled with an 's', unrelated to the association), were checked for cross-reference only and are not used as a source for any rate or levy figure. Ulusaba's own site quotes no nightly rate for its three lodges, so those are recorded as rates on request. Sabi Sabi and MalaMala are not on the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own lodge list, and neither states whether the reserve's own conservation contribution applies to a stay there; both maintain their own separate levy or none at all, as noted lodge by lodge.

Is Ebony Lodge good for families?
Yes. Singita's own site says children of all ages are welcome at Ebony Lodge, with under-2s free and ages 2 to 16 charged half the adult rate when sharing. Families of four or more with a child under 10 get a complimentary private vehicle, and the Family Suite has its own heated plunge pool. Bush walks require guests to be 16 or over.
What does the rate at Ebony Lodge include?
Ebony Lodge's rate covers all meals and premium beverages, twice-daily game drives, walking safaris, return transfers from Singita Airstrip and laundry. Can you self-drive to Ebony Lodge?
Sabi Sand is a private reserve, so there is no self-drive route around it, only to your own booked lodge. Most guests fly into Singita Airstrip, about 10 minutes from Ebony Lodge, with a return road transfer included. The road option from Johannesburg runs about 500 kilometres and six and a half hours, but it isn't offered as a self-drive package.
Is Ebony Lodge good for a honeymoon?
Yes. Every suite at Ebony Lodge has its own private plunge pool and deck, and Singita's founding lodge, open since 1993, sits directly on the Sand River. There's no suite named specifically for honeymooners or a star bed, and the wifi is complimentary but can run slow and intermittent given the remote setting.
