High-end Inside the park Group-owned (Tengile MalaMala Collection, formerly &Beyond)

Kirkman's Kamp sits in the southern sector near Shaws Gate, its cottages built around a converted 1920s farmstead. 2026 rates run from R26,450 per person sharing in high season to R28,500 in peak, with a separate family cottage priced by the unit rather than per person. No 2027 rate is published; the lodge instead quotes contracted rates on request. Kirkman's states its own traversing figure at 10,500 hectares of pristine land, rather than citing the reserve's overall size, but does not publish a conservation levy amount anywhere on its site.

Why you'd pick it

  • 10,500 hectares of pristine land, the lodge's own published traversing figure
  • A converted 1920s farmstead, one of the older properties in the reserve's history
  • Publishes 2026 rates only; 2027 pricing is on request as a contracted rate

Rates

From R26,450 pppn (2026, high season). 2026: high season (11 Jan-31 May, 1 Oct-20 Dec) R26,450 per person sharing; peak season (1 Jun-30 Sep, 21 Dec-5 Jan) R28,500. The family cottage is a whole-unit rate, not per person: R92,575 high season, R99,750 peak. A private vehicle can be added for R23,000 a night. No 2027 rate is published; the site quotes 'contracted Nett rates' on request instead. Converted at 1 USD = 17.6 ZAR on 16 September 2026, the 2026 high-season rate is about $1,503. No conservation levy amount is published on the lodge's own site.

What the rate covers is not confirmed. We do not know yet whether meals, drinks and activities are included, so read this as the bed only.

Every figure on this page is in US dollars.

Rates and fees come from each lodge's own website, read 16 September 2026, cross-checked against the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own published Guest Conservation Contribution and access fees at sabisand.co.za (the landowners' association, spelled without an 's') and against a reserve overview compiled the same day. Two booking-agent microsites, sabisands.com and sabisands.co.za (both spelled with an 's', unrelated to the association), were checked for cross-reference only and are not used as a source for any rate or levy figure. Ulusaba's own site quotes no nightly rate for its three lodges, so those are recorded as rates on request. Sabi Sabi and MalaMala are not on the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own lodge list, and neither states whether the reserve's own conservation contribution applies to a stay there; both maintain their own separate levy or none at all, as noted lodge by lodge.
