Savanna sits along the Sand River in the west-central sector, with its own published traversing figure of over 10,000 hectares rather than the whole reserve's total. Rates run from R21,000 per person sharing in 2026 to R27,300 in the 2027 Executive Suite, all meals, drinks, two daily drives and transfers from Ulusaba Airstrip included. Savanna pays the reserve's Tier 2 Guest Conservation Contribution directly, R576.50 to R578.99 per person in 2026 depending on the date, capped at three nights' charge, plus a R505 per person airstrip passenger tax each way.

From R21,000 pppn (2026, Luxury Suite). 2026 (flat rate, no seasonal bands): Luxury Suite R21,000 per person sharing, single R31,500; Executive Suite R25,250 per person sharing, single R37,875; the Savanna Suite R124,850 a night for the whole unit (4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 children). 2027: Luxury Suite R22,700, Executive Suite R27,300; the Savanna Suite's 2027 rate was not published on the site we checked. VAT included. Converted at 1 USD = 16.35 ZAR on 23 September 2026, the Luxury Suite is about $1,284 in 2026 and $1,389 in 2027. Savanna charges the Sabi Sand Guest Conservation Contribution at its Tier 2 rate: R576.50 per person from 1 January to 31 March 2026, R578.99 from 1 April to 31 December 2026, capped at a maximum 3-night charge.
What the rate covers is not confirmed. We do not know yet whether meals, drinks and activities are included, so read this as the bed only.

Rates and fees come from each lodge's own website, read 16 September 2026, cross-checked against the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own published Guest Conservation Contribution and access fees at sabisand.co.za (the landowners' association, spelled without an 's') and against a reserve overview compiled the same day. Two booking-agent microsites, sabisands.com and sabisands.co.za (both spelled with an 's', unrelated to the association), were checked for cross-reference only and are not used as a source for any rate or levy figure. Ulusaba's own site quotes no nightly rate for its three lodges, so those are recorded as rates on request. Sabi Sabi and MalaMala are not on the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own lodge list, and neither states whether the reserve's own conservation contribution applies to a stay there; both maintain their own separate levy or none at all, as noted lodge by lodge.

It depends which suite. The Savanna Suite welcomes children of any age when booked with its own private vehicle, and sleeps up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children as one unit. We found no published child policy for the regular Luxury and Executive Suites, so ask when you book those instead.
What does the rate at Savanna include?
Luxury and Executive Suite rates run from R21,000 to R27,300 per person sharing across 2026 and 2027, VAT included. On top, Savanna pays the reserve's own Tier 2 Guest Conservation Contribution directly, about R576 to R579 per person in 2026, plus a R505 per person passenger tax each way at Ulusaba Airstrip.
What does the Savanna Suite include?
The Savanna Suite books as one unit for up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children, at R124,850 a night in 2026. It includes a private Land Rover, private dining with a butler, most drinks, laundry and a dedicated ranger and tracker. The site does not mention booking it as two separate suites.
Can you self-drive to Savanna?
No. Sabi Sand is a private reserve, so you can only self-drive to your own booked lodge, not around the reserve, and every game drive then runs through Savanna's own guides and vehicles. Transfers from Ulusaba Airstrip are included in the rate, though a R505 per person passenger tax applies each way.
