Castleton is Singita's fully private option in the west-central sector: a stone-walled homestead with six cottages, booked whole rather than by the room, from R430,095 a night for up to 8 guests in the cheapest season to R560,645 for a full 12 in peak season. All meals, premium drinks, private guiding and staff, and transfers from the Singita airstrip are included. It shares Singita's traversing access of about 18,200 hectares across the group's three Sabi Sand lodges, and, like the others, excludes a conservation contribution and two further levies without stating any of their amounts.

The site's combined 2026/2027 table gives: off-peak (6 Jan-30 Apr, 1 Nov-14 Dec) R430,095 a night for 1 to 8 guests, R479,020 for 9 to 12; shoulder season R468,525 to R521,715; peak season R503,850 to R560,645. VAT included. We have not divided these whole-villa figures by guest count to produce a per-person price, so no price_usd is given. A conservation contribution, Tourism Levy and Carbon Offset Levy are excluded, with no amount stated.
What the rate covers is not confirmed. We do not know yet whether meals, drinks and activities are included, so read this as the bed only.

Rates and fees come from each lodge's own website, read 16 September 2026, cross-checked against the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own published Guest Conservation Contribution and access fees at sabisand.co.za (the landowners' association, spelled without an 's') and against a reserve overview compiled the same day. Two booking-agent microsites, sabisands.com and sabisands.co.za (both spelled with an 's', unrelated to the association), were checked for cross-reference only and are not used as a source for any rate or levy figure. Ulusaba's own site quotes no nightly rate for its three lodges, so those are recorded as rates on request. Sabi Sabi and MalaMala are not on the Sabi Sand Wildtuin's own lodge list, and neither states whether the reserve's own conservation contribution applies to a stay there; both maintain their own separate levy or none at all, as noted lodge by lodge.

Is Castleton good for families?
Yes. Singita's own site says children of all ages are welcome at Castleton, which books as one private homestead with six cottages for up to 12 guests, your own guide, house manager and chef. The only published age limit is on bush walks, which need guests to be 16 or over.
What does the rate at Castleton include?
Castleton is booked as one whole villa, from R430,095 a night for up to 8 guests in the cheapest season to R560,645 for 12 guests in peak season. The rate covers all meals and beverages, private guiding and game drives, walking safaris, yoga and tennis, transfers and laundry, but excludes a Tourism Levy and a Carbon Offset Levy, with no amounts published.
Can you self-drive to Castleton?
Sabi Sand is a private reserve, so there is no self-drive route around it, only to your own booked lodge. Most guests fly into Singita Airstrip, about 10 minutes from Castleton, with a return road transfer included. Once you book the whole homestead, Castleton's own vehicles and guides run every activity for your group.
Is Castleton good for a honeymoon?
It can suit a small celebration more than a classic honeymoon. Castleton has no private plunge pool, with a shared pool on the lawn overlooking the dam, and no suite is named for honeymooners. It works better as a private family or friends' homestead, booked whole with its own guide, chef and staff.
